Hello everyone!
How has this week been for you? I hope it has been rich with inspiration. Tomorrow I’m going to a funeral. Many years before I imagined I’d go to this funeral. Life changes. Nothing is set in stone.
Last Wednesday on Anthropocene we were blessed with two poems by Charlotte Eichler
Charlotte is a poet I admire, with a first collection which came out this month, so asked if she had any poems for us. It strikes me that the ant is somewhat underrated as an inspiration (and the nightingale overrated). Maybe I’m wrong, feel free to email links to any ant poems that you know.
Charlotte Eichler’s first collection
This morning we published a couple of new poems by Philip Gross
It’s always nice to receive a submission from a poet you have on your bookshelves. There is something mysterious about Philip’s poetry, a quality I wouldn’t be able to enhance to by attempting to explain, so I won’t.
3 things I’ve enjoyed this week:
Crow rotations (a musical collaboration between Larry Groves and Nottingham's finest Matthew Welton)
Starts around 1h20. Strange, in the best possible way.
Did you know psyche is Greek for both butterfly and soul?
An enduring favourite. I don’t know what ‘Complacencies of the peignoir’ means or how that line would fall into someone’s head. But it’s wonderful that it did.
That’s all from me, have a peaceful Sunday,
Warmest wishes,
Charlie
